Yeah that would mean D3 is more casual, but that's not a bad thing if you're looking for something more casual. While for something like D3 if you just want to play for a week or two on a new season, that's perfectly fine you'll catch on quick-you probably wont be pushing the leaderboards, but you can set something up that works without too much fuss. There's some allure in that, but at the same time it feels like a game I couldn't enjoy without that commitment. Honestly I feel Vanilla Diablo 3 was close to that, but now it's all about the 6 piece set.Īs to PoE, I definitely see the appeal but for me that game feels like something I'd have to commit 1000 hours to really get into it and master all its system. Some sets were BIS, some Legendaries were BIS, some Runewords were BIS, and even some crafted rares were BIS.
I quite liked the Diablo 2 itemization, it felt like there were loads of viable builds you could use and itemize in different ways.
